I know it can be hard to find the right fit, so here’s a little about me...

Christine Black, LISW-CP, LCSW

Hello—I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’re taking the time to look for a therapist, chances are something in your life feels heavy, overwhelming, or uncertain. I want you to know you don’t have to navigate that alone.

So why this work?

At the risk of sounding cliché… I truly love people. I’m deeply drawn to the stories we carry—the parts that feel messy, hidden, or hard to put into words. Again and again, I find myself inspired by the strength, resilience, and capacity for healing that exists within every person, even when they can’t feel it themselves.

As a therapist, my goal is to create a space where you feel both seen and accepted, while also gently supported toward growth and change. I believe that you are not broken—you are inherently whole—and that healing is less about “fixing” yourself and more about reconnecting with who you already are.

It is an honor to walk alongside my clients as they move toward deeper self-understanding, self-compassion, and a more authentic way of living.

My clinical passions are shaped both by my professional experience and my personal life. Through my own challenges and those of people I love, I’ve developed a deep commitment to supporting individuals navigating OCD (especially scrupulosity), anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, trauma, perfectionism—and also consider myself an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

I have experience working with children, teens, and adults across a range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, OCD-related disorders (such as BFRBs and body dysmorphic disorder), depression, suicidality, self-harm, and identity-related challenges.

I understand how isolating these “invisible struggles” can feel. In our work together, I will sit with you in those hard spaces—so it feels a little less lonely—and help you find your way through. Along the way, you’ll gain practical tools, new perspectives, and a steadier sense of yourself, even in the midst of life’s storms.

In our sessions, I draw from evidence-based and experiential approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and expressive therapies such as play, art, and sand tray. I tailor our work to fit you—your needs, your goals, and your pace.

And outside of the therapy room…

You’ll most likely find me teaching group fitness classes, practicing yoga, reading, listening to an audiobook or good podcast, hiking, or dancing whenever I get the chance. I love being active, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

I’m also a wife and a mom of three, and much of my life is spent in the beautiful, messy, meaningful reality of motherhood—holding both the joy and the challenge that comes with it.

If you’re here, something in you is already moving toward healing.

I’d be honored to be part of that journey.
